Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 19163 — We went to visit Sayyiduna Abu Ma'bad

Isa narrates: We went to visit Sayyiduna Abu Ma'bad al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) in his illness, and we said: Will you not hang something (such as an amulet)? He said: Death is nearer than that. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever hangs something (such as an amulet) is entrusted to it."
