حَدَّثَنَا عَلَّانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ مَاغِمَهْ قَالَ: ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: دَقَّ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَابَ، وَقَدْ أَلْمَمْتُ بِالْمَرْأَةِ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى أغْتَسِلُ فَأَبْطَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَحِقْتُهُ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِي: «كُنْتَ أَنْزَلْتَ» قُلْتُ: لَا قَالَ: «أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا الْوُضُوءُ»
Sayyiduna Abu Uthman al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) knocked at my door, and I had been with my wife, so I disliked going out to him (peace and blessings be upon him) without having taken a ritual bath (ghusl), and so I was delayed. Then I caught up with him (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Did you ejaculate?" I said: No. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then nothing was required of you except ablution (wudu)."
