حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْعَطَّارِ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الْعَيْشِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّنَابِلِ بْنِ بَعْكَكٍ، قَالَ: وَضَعَتْ سُبَيْعَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ زَوْجِهَا بِثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ لَيْلَةً، فَلَمَّا تَعَالَتْ مِنْ نِفَاسِهَا تَشَوَّفَتْ لِلنِّكَاحِ فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهَا أَوْ عِيبَ عَلَيْهَا فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنْ تَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ حَلَّ أَجَلُهَا»
Sayyiduna Abu al-Sanabil bin Ba'kak (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Sayyidah Subay'ah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth twenty-three or twenty-five nights after the death of her husband. When she became pure from her postnatal bleeding, she showed a desire for marriage, and she was objected to or reproached for it. So she mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If she does so, her waiting period has been completed."
