Those with the kunyah Abu Yazid — Abu Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him), lineage unknown; the narrators differ, some saying Ibn Yazid, but the correct form is Ibn Abi Yazid

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «دَعُوا النَّاسَ يُصِيبُ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ وَإِذَا اسْتَنْصَحُوكُمْ فَانْصَحُوهُمْ»
From Sayyiduna Abu Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him), his son Hakim narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave the people so that they may benefit from one another, and when they seek your advice, advise them sincerely."
