حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وأَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الدُّولَابِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْفِيلِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا تَسُبُّوهُ» - يَعْنِي مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu al-Fil (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not speak ill of him" - meaning Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him).
