حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، وجَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ قَالَ: ابْنَا النَّضْرِ بْنِ شُمَيْلٍ، ثنا الْهِرْمَاسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَعْدِيهِ عَلَى غَرِيمٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ: «الْزَمْهُ، ثُمَّ لَقِيَهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ» ، فَقَالَ: «يَا أَبَا أَخَا بَنِي الْعَنْبَرِ مَا فَعَلَ أَسِيرُكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Habib al-Anbari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking his help against a debtor of his. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Stay close to him." Later, he (peace and blessings be upon him) met him and said: "O brother of Banu al-Anbar, what has become of your captive?"
