حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ دِلْهَاثِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُسْرِعِ بْنِ يَاسِرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ، صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي دَاوُدَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ دِلْهَاثٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مُسْرِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ يَاسِرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَّهَهُ فِي خَيْلٍ أَوْ سَرِيَّةٍ وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَامِلٌ فَوُلِدَ لَهُ مَوْلُودٌ فَحَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ وُلِدَ هَذَا الْمَوْلُودُ، وَأَبُوهُ فِي الْخَيْلِ فَسَمِّهِ فَأَخَذَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ " وَقَالَ: «اللهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ رِجَالَهُمْ وَأَقِلَّ أَيَامَاهُمْ، وَلَا تُحْوِجْهُمْ وَلَا تُرِ أَحْدَاثَهُمْ خَصَاصَةً» ، فَقَالَ: «سَمِّهِ مُسْرِعًا فَقَدْ أَسْرَعَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ»
مَنِ اسْمُهُ يَثْرِبِيٌّ وَيُقَالُ: يَثْرِبِيُّ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَبُو رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ تَيْمُ الرَّبَابِ، وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ فِي اسْمِهِ، فَقِيلَ حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَبَّانَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ قَيْسٍ، وَقِيلَ حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، وَقِيلَ رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ يَثْرِبِيٍّ
مَنِ اسْمُهُ يَثْرِبِيٌّ وَيُقَالُ: يَثْرِبِيُّ بْنُ عَوْفٍ أَبُو رِمْثَةَ التَّيْمِيُّ تَيْمُ الرَّبَابِ، وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ فِي اسْمِهِ، فَقِيلَ حَبِيبُ بْنُ حَبَّانَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ قَيْسٍ، وَقِيلَ حَبَّانُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، وَقِيلَ رِفَاعَةُ بْنُ يَثْرِبِيٍّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yasir bin Suwayd al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him out with a cavalry troop or a raiding party (sariyyah) while his wife was pregnant. A child was born to him, and his mother brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The woman said: "O Messenger of Allah, this child has been born while his father is with the troop (on campaign), so please name him." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took him, passed his hand over him, and said: "O Allah, increase the number of their men and lessen their widows; do not make them needy, and do not let their young ones see poverty." Then he said: "Name him Musri', for he has hastened in (embracing) Islam."
Those named Yathribi: and it is said Yathribi bin Awf, Abu Rimthah al-Taymi, of Taym al-Ribab. There is a difference of opinion about his name: it has been said Habib bin Habban bin Amir bin Abd Qays, it has been said Habban bin Wahb, and it has been said Rifa'ah bin Yathribi.
Those named Yathribi: and it is said Yathribi bin Awf, Abu Rimthah al-Taymi, of Taym al-Ribab. There is a difference of opinion about his name: it has been said Habib bin Habban bin Amir bin Abd Qays, it has been said Habban bin Wahb, and it has been said Rifa'ah bin Yathribi.
