حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، أَخُو حَجَّاجٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: أَطْلَيْتُ يَوْمًا، ثُمَّ تَخَلَّقْتُ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَاوَلْتُهُ يَدِي، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، صَلِّ عَلَيَّ، فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا الَّذِي عَلَى يَدِكَ؟» ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي تَنَوَّرْتُ ثُمَّ تَخَلَّقْتُ: فَقَالَ: «أَلَكَ امْرَأَةٌ؟» ، قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: «أَلَكَ سُرِّيَّةٌ؟» قُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: «فَانْطَلِقْ فَاغْسِلْهُ، ثُمَّ اغْسِلْهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ»
Sayyiduna Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day I removed hair with lime depilatory (nurah), then applied perfume and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I extended my hand to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate for me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this on your hand?" I said: "I used lime depilatory (nurah) and then applied perfume." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have a wife?" I said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you have a slave-woman (concubine)?" I said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go and wash it off, then wash it three times."
