Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18878 — he said: At al-Ji'ranah a man came

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السِّرَاجُ الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا السَّكَنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْجِعْرَانَةِ رَجُلٌ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ وَهُو مُصْفَرٌ لِحْيَتُهُ وَرَأْسُهُ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَحْرَمْتُ وَأَنَا كَمَا تَرَى قَالَ: «اغْسِلْ عَنْكَ الصُّفْرَةَ وَأنْزَعُ عَنْكَ الْجُبَّةَ، وَمَا كُنْتَ صَانِعًا فِي حَجَّتِكَ فَاصْنَعْهُ فِي عُمْرَتِكَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ya'la (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: At al-Ji'ranah a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he was wearing a cloak (jubbah), and his beard and head were dyed yellow. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have entered ihram, and my state is as you see." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wash this yellow off yourself and take off the cloak, and whatever you would do in your Hajj, do that in your Umrah."
