Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18849 — he was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Yazid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions when a funeral came by. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, he stood up, and the Companions also stood up, and they remained standing until the funeral had gone far off. By Allah, I do not know whether it was because of being troubled by it or because of the narrowness of the place, and I think it was only the funeral of a Jewish man or a Jewish woman, and we did not ask him (peace and blessings be upon him) the reason for his standing.
Sayyiduna Yazid, the son of the sister of Namir bin Qasit al-Kindi (may Allah be pleased with him), whose kunyah was Abu al-Sa'ib. He was Yazid bin Abdullah bin Sa'd bin al-Aswad bin Thumamah bin al-Shaytan Yaqzan bin al-Harith bin Amr bin Mu'awiyah bin al-Harith; and al-Namir were allies of the tribe of Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah. Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) was an ally of Sayyiduna Abu Sufyan bin Harb (may Allah be pleased with him). He kept the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed him governor of al-Yamamah.
