حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا هَوْبَرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هَبَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: زَوَّجَ هَبَّارٌ ابْنَتَهُ فَضَرَبَ فِي عُرْسِهَا بِالْكِيرِ وَالْغِرْبَالِ فَسَمِعَ ذَلِكَ، رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا؟» قَالُوا: زَفَّ هَبَّارُ ابْنَتَهُ فَضَرَبَ فِي عُرْسِهَا بِالْكِيرِ وَالْغِرْبَالِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أشيدوا النِّكَاحَ أشيدوا النِّكَاحَ، هَذَا نِكَاحٌ لَا سفاحٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Habbar bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) that he gave his daughter in marriage, and in celebration of it the duff and the sieve were beaten. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) heard it and asked: "What is this?" The people said: Habbar has sent his daughter off to her husband, and in celebration of it the duff and the sieve have been beaten. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Announce the marriage, announce the marriage; this is marriage, not fornication."
