حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بِلَالٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّهْشَلِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ، مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُؤْذِ جَارَهُ، مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ جَائِزَتُهُ» قِيلَ: وَمَا جَائِزَتُهُ؟ قَالَ: «يَوْمُهُ وَلَيْلَتُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh al-Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent; whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not harm his neighbour; whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honour his guest, (giving) his special hospitality." It was asked: What is his special hospitality? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One day and one night."
