Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18686 — he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hani bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a delegation with his people. He (peace and blessings be upon him) heard the people calling Hani Abu al-Hakam, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called him and said: "Allah alone is al-Hakam (the Judge); why are you called Abu al-Hakam? Do you have a son of that name?" He said: No, but when my people disagreed over some matter, they would come to me, and I would judge between them, and both parties would be satisfied. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How excellent this is!"
