حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، وحَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَوْضِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، أَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ " رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قُبَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مِنْ أُدُمٍ قَالَ: فَرَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا أَخْرَجَ وَضُوءَهُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ يَبْتَدِرُونَ ذَلِكَ الْوَضُوءَ، فَمَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا تَمَسَّحَ بِهِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَخَذَ مِنْ بَلَلِ يَدِ صَاحِبِهِ، ثُمَّ رَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا أَخْرَجَ عَنَزَةً فَرَكَزَهَا، وَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حُلَّةٍ حَمْرَاءَ مُشَمِّرًا فَصَلَّى إِلَى الْعَنَزَةِ بِالنَّاسِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ وَالدَّوَابَّ يَمُرُّونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْعَنَزَةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a red tent of leather. He said: I saw Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) bring out his ablution water, and I saw the people rushing towards that ablution water; whoever got some of it would rub it over his body, and whoever did not get any would take from the moisture of his companion's hand. Then I saw Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) bring out a spear and plant it in the ground, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out wearing a red suit of clothes, with his garment tucked up, and led the people in two rak'ahs of prayer facing the spear, and I saw people and animals passing in front of the spear.
