Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18524 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، وَالْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مُسَافِرًا فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on a journey and kept praying two rak'ahs only until he returned.
