حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَشْقَرِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي خُصَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ وَاثِلَةَ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يَقُولُ: " {قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّى وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّى} [الأعلى: ١٥] إِلْقَاءُ الْقَمْحِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمُصَلَّى "
Khusaylah bint Wathilah (may Allah have mercy on her) said: I heard my father say: "Indeed, he has succeeded who purifies himself, and remembers the name of his Lord and prays" [Surah al-A'la: 15] (means) giving wheat (as Sadaqat al-Fitr) at the prayer ground on the day of Eid al-Fitr before the prayer.
