Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18456 — she heard her father say: I said: O

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنَا خُصَيْلَةُ بِنْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ أَبَاهَا، يَقُولُ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، مَا الْعَصَبِيَّةُ؟ قَالَ: «أَنْ تُعِينَ قَوْمَكَ عَلَى الظُّلْمِ»
Khusaylah bint Wathilah (may Allah have mercy on her) narrates that she heard her father say: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is partisanship ('asabiyyah)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That you help your people in wrongdoing."
