Abu Khalid al-Walibi narrates that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us out in a detachment, and we defeated the enemy. Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) pursued one of their riders; then Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) turned towards him and saw that his shin was sticking out of the stirrup, so he shot him with an arrow. I saw the blood flowing as if it were a sandal strap, and then he made his mount kneel."
