It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin al-Asqa' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty will raise up on the Day of Resurrection a servant who has no sin, and Allah will say: Which of the two do you prefer: that I reward you according to your deeds, or according to My blessing upon you? He will say: My Lord, You know that I never disobeyed You. Allah will say: Take My servant to account for one of My blessings. Then not a single good deed of his will remain except that blessing will consume it. He will say: My Lord, by Your blessing and Your mercy! Allah will say: (Yes,) by My blessing and My mercy. And a righteous servant will be brought who considers himself to have no sin, and it will be said to him: Did you befriend My friends? He will say: I was at peace with all people. Allah will say: Then did you show enmity to My enemies? He will say: O my Lord, there was no quarrel between me and anyone. Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say: My mercy does not reach the one who does not befriend My friends and show enmity to My enemies."
