حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ قَالَ: «صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا كَبَّرَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَكَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ لِلتَّشَهُّدِ يُشِيرُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ»
Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir, he raised his hands; when he intended to bow, he raised his hands; and when he intended to prostrate, he raised his hands. And when he sat for the tashahhud, he would point with his index finger.
