Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: I will surely watch the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to see how he (peace and blessings be upon him) prays. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) faced the qiblah and raised his hands up to the level of his ears, then took hold of his left hand with his right hand. When he intended to bow, he raised his hands in the same way, then placed his hands on his knees. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands in the same way. When he prostrated, he placed his head in that same position, between his hands.
