حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَا: ثَنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ: «أَنَّهُ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا أَنْ كَبَّرَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ، وَلَمَّا أَنْ سَجَدَ جَافَى عَضُدَيْهِ عَنْ إِبْطَيْهِ، وَلَمَّا أَنْ قَعَدَ افْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى، وَأَشَارَ بِمُسَبِّحَتِهِ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ مُسْلِمٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr al-Hadrami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he prayed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) said the takbir, he raised his hands; when he prostrated, he kept his upper arms away from his armpits; and when he sat, he spread out his left foot, placed his left hand on his left thigh and his right hand on his right thigh, and pointed with his index finger.
