حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي هَوْذَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ فُرَاتٍ الْقَزَّازِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَلَسْنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَقَالَ: «لَا يَزَالُ الْإِسْلَامُ ظَاهِرًا حَتَّى يَكُونَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا أَوْ خَلِيفَةً كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ»
Ubaydullah narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I went with my father to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we sat with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam will remain dominant until there have been twelve leaders or caliphs, all of them from Quraysh."
