Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18235 — I was present with the Prophet ﷺ when

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I was present with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when Suwayd bin Tariq asked him (peace and blessings be upon him) about wine, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade it to him. He said: We use it as a remedy; it is put into medicine. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not a remedy; rather, it is itself a disease."
