حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَاهَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ «أَنَّهُ صَحِبَ قَوْمًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَوَجَدَ مِنْهُمْ غَفْلَةً , فَقَتَلَهُمْ وَأَخَذَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ , فَجَاءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَرِهَ مَا صَنَعَ وَأَبَى أَنْ يَقْبَلَهَا»
Urwah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he accompanied a group of the polytheists and found them off their guard, so he killed them and took their wealth, then brought it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked what he had done and refused to accept it.
