Qabisah bin Burmah al-Asadi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went out with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on one of his journeys. We travelled until, at the time of suhur (before dawn), he (peace and blessings be upon him) went off to one side and disappeared from my sight; then he came back and called for water for purification. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a Syrian cloak with tight sleeves, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) brought his hand out from beneath the cloak, washed his face and hands, and wiped over his leather socks.
