حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، ثنا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ قُحَيْفٍ قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي بَيْتِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، فَذَكَرُوا الطُّهُورَ فَقَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى حَاجَتَهُ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»
Bishr bin Quhayf (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: We were in the house of al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) when the people began discussing purification, and he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) relieve himself, then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks."
