حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، قَالَ: أَوَّلُ مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْكُوفَةِ قَرَظَةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، فَزَعَمَ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ قَامَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُعْتَمِدًا، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»
وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُعَذَّبُ مَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ»
وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ، فَإِنَّهُ يُعَذَّبُ مَا نِيحَ عَلَيْهِ»
Ali bin Rabi'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The first person over whom wailing was done in Kufah was Qarazah bin Ka'b al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him). (It was reported that) al-Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up, praised and glorified Allah, then said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever deliberately lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire."
And I also heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever is wailed over is punished for as long as he is wailed over."
And I also heard him (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever is wailed over is punished for as long as he is wailed over."
