Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18097 — Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَالَ: «سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» قَالَ: «اللهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلَا مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ»
Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears the one who praises Him), he would also say: "O Allah, none can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the greatness of the great is of no avail to him against You."
