حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلَوَيَّةَ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَنَابٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَالَ فِي سُبَاطَةِ بَنِي فُلَانٍ فَقَالَ: «يَا مُغِيرَةُ، مَعَكَ مَاءٌ؟» قَالَ: نَعَمْ إِدَوَاةٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ، وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَامِيَّةٌ ضَيِّقَةُ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ خُفَّانِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) urinated at the rubbish heap of such-and-such a tribe, then said: "O Mughirah, do you have water with you?" I said: Yes, there is a vessel of water. He (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a Syrian cloak with narrow sleeves. He (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his feet while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing leather socks.
