حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ: مَا سَأَلَ أَحَدٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا سَأَلْتُهُ أَنَا، فَقَالَ: «مَا سُؤَالُكَ عَنْهُ؟ إِنَّكَ لَا تُدْرِكُهُ، أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَا يَخْرُجُ حَتَّى لَا يُقْسَمَ مِيرَاثٌ، وَلَا يَفْزَعَ لِغَنِيمَةٍ»
Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: No one asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Dajjal more than I did. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why do you ask so much about him? You will not even live to see him; and he will not emerge until inheritance is no longer divided and no one cares any more about war booty."
