Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 18019 — Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah passed

Al-Mughirah, the grandson (daughter's son) of Sayyiduna al-Mughirah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by al-Hirah and saw that some people had set up a fox as a target and were shooting arrows at it. He stopped by them and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid mutilation (that is, cutting off the limbs of an animal or a person and disfiguring them).
