Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17973 — The first of the Muhajirun to come to us

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ - أَحَدُ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ بْنِ قُصَيٍّ - فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: «هُوَ مَكَانَهُ، وَأَصْحَابُهُ عَلَى أَثَرِي»
Sayyiduna al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The first of the Muhajirun to come to us was Mus'ab bin Umayr (may Allah be pleased with him) - one of Banu Abd al-Dar bin Qusayy. I asked him: "How is the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said: "He is in his place, and his Companions are coming after me."
