حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُعَلَّى الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْحَكَمِ الصَّيْقَلُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَرْزُوقٌ الصَّيْقَلُ، أَنَّهُ «صَقَلَ سَيْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَا الْفَقَارِ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ قَبِيعَةٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَحِلَقٌ فِي قَيْدِهِ وبَكَرَةٌ فِي وَسَطِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Marzuq al-Sayqal (may Allah be pleased with him) that he polished the sword of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), "Dhu al-Faqar", whose pommel was of silver, with rings in its sheath, and a silver knob in its middle.
