حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُنْذِرِ بْنِ سَاوَى: «مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاتَنَا، وَاسْتَقْبَلَ قِبْلَتَنَا، وَأَكَلَ ذَبِيحَتَنَا فَذَاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمُ، لَهُ ذِمَّةُ اللهِ، وَذِمَّةُ الرَّسُولِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote to al-Mundhir bin Sawa: "Whoever prays as we pray, faces our qiblah, and eats our slaughtered animals, that is the Muslim; he has the protection (dhimmah) of Allah and of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)."
