خالد بن معدان، عن المقدام
Khalid bin Ma'dan from al-Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17768 — he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ السَّمَيْدَعِ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصُّورِيُّ، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّكَ مَا أَطْعَمْتَ زَوْجَتَكَ فَهُوَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَمَا أَطْعَمْتَ وَلَدَكَ فَهُوَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَمَا أَطْعَمْتَ خَادِمَكَ فَهُوَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَمَا أَطْعَمْتَ نَفْسَكَ فَهُوَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whatever you feed your wife is charity (sadaqah) for you, whatever you feed your children is charity for you, whatever you feed your servant is charity for you, and whatever you feed yourself is charity for you."
