Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17767 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: No

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُوَقَّرِيُّ، عَنْ ثَوْرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا أَكَلَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ طَعَامًا هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْ عَمِلِ يَدَيْهِ» قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ: «وَكَانَ دَاوُدُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ عَمِلِ يَدَيْهِ»
Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'di Karib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "No one from the children of Adam has ever eaten any food better for him than eating from the work of his own hands." The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And Dawud (peace be upon him) used to eat from the work of his own hands."
