Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17754 — I heard Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin

Abd al-Malik bin Rashid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him), the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while most people were saying: "The final decree will come within a hundred years" - meaning that the Resurrection would come after a hundred years - and Sayyiduna al-Miqdam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You have greatly exaggerated. Allah is not incapable of delaying this Ummah by half a day" - meaning five hundred years.
