Companions Whose Names Begin with Mim (م)
عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى، عن المقداد
Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Layla from al-Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17707 — from Sayyiduna Miqdad. He said: I

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو طَالِبٍ عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ مُطَهَّرٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ، قَالَ: أَقْبَلَتُ أَنَا وَصَاحِبَانِ لِي وَقَدْ ذَهَبَتْ أَسْمَاعُنَا وَأَبْصَارُنَا مِنَ الْجَهْدِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَإِذَا فِيهِ أَعْنُزٌ فَقَالَ: «أَصْلِحْ» فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ
A similar hadith is also narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: I and two companions of mine - when the severity of hunger had taken away our hearing and our sight - came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) went to his household, and there were goats there. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Set things right (milk them)," and then he narrated a similar hadith.
