Akhdar bin Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I was with Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) on one of the roads when we passed by something harmful, and he removed it - or moved it away - from the road. I saw something like it, so I picked it up and moved it away. Then he took hold of my hand and said: O my nephew! What made you do what you did? I said: O uncle! I saw you do something, so I did the same. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever removes something harmful from the road of the Muslims, a good deed is recorded for him, and whoever has a good deed accepted from him will enter Paradise."
