حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ضِرَارُ بْنُ صُرَدَ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَايِدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ اللِّبَاسَ تَوَاضُعًا وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَيْهِ، دَعَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُخَيَّرَ حُلَلَ الْجَنَّةِ يَلْبَسُ أَيَّهَا شَاءَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever gives up clothing out of humility while being able to afford it, Allah Almighty will call him on the Day of Resurrection before all of creation, until he is given the choice among the garments of Paradise; he will wear whichever of them he wishes."
