حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِي، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَهْلُ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ اللِّبَاسَ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ تَوَاضُعًا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ دَعَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ مِنْ حُلَلِ الْإِيمَانِ يَلْبَسُ مِنْ أَيِّهَا شَاءَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever gives up (fine) clothing out of humility for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, while being able to afford it, Allah Almighty will call him on the Day of Resurrection before all of creation, until He gives him the choice among the garments of faith to wear whichever of them he wishes."
