حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصَفَّى، ثنا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا حَبِيبُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْكُمْ، يُخْبِرُكُمْ «أَنَّ الْمَرَدَّ إِلَى اللهِ، إِلَى جُنَّةٍ أَوْ نَارٍ، خُلُودٌ وَلَا مَوْتَ، وَإِقَامَةٌ وَلَا ظَعْنَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him to Yemen, and when he reached them he said: "O people, I am the envoy of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to you; he informs you that the return is to Allah, either to Paradise or to Hell; there is eternity there and no death, and permanent residence and no departure."
