Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1746 — the Prophet ﷺ said about the sea

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبَ السِّمْسَارُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا الْمُعَافَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي الْبَحْرِ: «هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ الْحَلَالُ مَيْتَتُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about the sea: "Its water is pure, and its dead (creatures) are lawful."
