Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1733 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ، وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah). When they say it, they have safeguarded their lives and their wealth from me, except by its right, and their reckoning is with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
