حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِذَ اللهِ أَبَا إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيَّ، يَقُولُ: قُلْتُ لِمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ: إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي اللهِ، فَأَخَذَ بِحِقْوَيَّ، واجْتَذَبَنِي إِلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: وَاللهِ إِنَّكَ تُحِبُّنِي؟ قُلْتُ: وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي اللهِ، قَالَ: أَبْشِرْ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي ظِلِّ عَرْشِهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ»
Yazid bin Abi Maryam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I heard A'idhullah Abu Idris al-Khawlani (may Allah have mercy on him) say: I said to Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him): I love you for the sake of Allah. So he took hold of my waist and pulled me towards him, then said: By Allah, do you love me? I said: By Allah, I love you for the sake of Allah. He said: Rejoice, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Those who love one another will be in the shade of His Throne, on the day when there is no shade except His shade."
