Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 17095 — he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السَّيْلَحِينِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حُدَيْجٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «غُدْوَةٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، أَوْ رَوْحَةٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Hudayj al-Sakuni (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Setting out in the morning in the path of Allah, or setting out in the evening, is better than the world and everything in it."
