It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, not from His Messenger: Allah has cursed the one who cuts down the lote tree (sidr)."
