حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، ثنا الْجَارُودُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَتَرِعُونَ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الْفَاجِرِ؟، اذْكُرُوهُ بِمَا فِيهِ يَعْرِفُهُ النَّاسُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you refrain from mentioning the sinful wrongdoer? Describe him with what is in him, so that people may recognise him."
