Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1698 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell ill

Al-Aswad bin Qays relates that Sayyiduna Jundub bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill and could not get up (for the night prayer) for two or three nights. Then a woman said: "O Muhammad, I hope that your devil has abandoned you; we have not seen him near you for two or three nights." So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: "By the forenoon, and by the night when it covers, your Lord has neither forsaken you nor is He displeased" [Surah al-Duha: 2].
